X (Twitter) Video Downloader

Saving a video from a post on X
Videos on X are attached to posts, so the link you need is the link to the post, not to the profile or to the video player. X usually encodes each uploaded video in several bitrates. When the media service returns those versions, MediaSave lists each one separately so you can choose between a sharper file and a smaller one.
Animated "GIFs" on X are actually stored as short silent MP4 videos, so they appear here as MP4 files too — that's expected.
How to copy the right link
- On the X app (iPhone or Android): tap the share icon under the post, then Copy link.
- On a computer: click the post's timestamp to open it on its own page, then copy the address from the address bar — or use Share → Copy link.
- Paste the link into the box above and press Download.
- Pick one of the listed qualities. On iPhone, the file opens in a new tab — tap the share icon and choose Save Video.
Supported X link formats
Both the current x.com address and older twitter.com links work. Tracking parameters like ?s=20 are removed automatically.
Profile pages, search results, Lists, Communities and Spaces audio aren't video posts, so they can't be processed.
When an X video can't be saved
- Protected accounts. Posts from accounts with protected posts are only visible to approved followers, so they aren't public.
- Deleted or withheld posts. If the post was removed, or is withheld in some countries, the service may not be able to reach it.
- Quote posts. If the video belongs to the quoted post, open that original post and copy its link instead.
- Live broadcasts. Ongoing live streams generally aren't available until the broadcast has ended, and some never are.

Does it work with twitter.com links?
Yes. Both x.com and older twitter.com (including mobile.twitter.com) post links are accepted and converted automatically.
Can I download GIFs from X?
X stores animated GIFs as short MP4 videos without sound. When the processing service returns them, they appear as MP4 options.
Why can't I download from a protected account?
Protected accounts limit their posts to approved followers, so those posts aren't public. MediaSave doesn't access non-public content.
